FIFA Mobile App - Not a Review, more of a Thanks

I’ve been waiting for a mobile application to be released by FIFA for some time now. And luckily today, I was able to download the official FIFA mobile app.

"...The app, available in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, is free to download and available for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets from today..."

I use the FIFA website for a lot of my football news updates on the World Cup, certain players, history and media resources.  Truthfully, it was something that was really missing from my mobile experience and let alone of my Futbol news site resources.

According to FIFA, "FIFA.com, the most-visited football website in the world, today announced the launch of the official FIFA app. The launch of the application coincides with the Final Draw for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, which fans can follow live with the app on Friday 6 December 2013."

As many of you might have experienced, going to the FIFA site from a mobile phone browser was somewhat painful because the experience was not even close to the desktop experience and let alone was not friendly. So far the application is quite impressive as its easy to use and navigate around the features of the application.

I hope that this will be the replacement of my ESPN application when it comes to real time score updates with the leagues that I follow. At the very least I’ll use the FIFA app as an added resource for my research and daily Futbol fix that I require.  FIFA has acknowledge that it will evolve the applications to become a hub for us fans. And I hope that they keep that promise leading up to the World Cup and afterwards.

"..The official FIFA app will evolve over the coming months to provide an unparalleled digital platform to unite the hundreds of millions of fans for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil."
